Spray Nine

This is a very good cleaner that I have used for years.
When I first came across it we had bought a motor home with water stains in the cloth ceiling. They were there because the previous owner informed me that they used it in the winter for ski trips. Caused from a sweating interior at -20
Apart from the stains it was in perfect shape.

The video explains it better than I can.

Spray 9 has been around for many years and does a good job. I've used it for many things but have found that it can damage some finishes if not careful (of course, the EPA may have weakened it some by now, too)

Very good point!
Yes one thing I noticed over the years is at one time it was corrosive and I was very careful where I used it.
It is no longer corrosive and I still try a sample spot when I am unsure.

You can look up the ingredients here:

https://hpd.nlm.nih.gov/index.htm

Just type Spray Nine in the Quick Search box. It shows the old formula and a bunch of new products.

For cloth ceiling stains I use a 50/50 mix of bleach and water in a spray bottle. Had some really bad stains on the ceiling from a poorly installed vent (8 of the 28 screws were never used and the rest were loose) . I covered the area underneath with a tarp, sprayed on the mixture and left the motorhome for a couple hours. No rubbing or scrubbing. When I checked it out later, the stains were completely gone., Couldn't be any easier than that.

Of course, I wore safety goggles, gloves and a face mask while spraying.
