Squealing slider and use of lubrication

We have a Montsna 318RE with electric cable slide system. Bedroom and living room slider have rollers but the larger kitchen slider has no rollers, rather seems to sit on a rail covered with tarp type material. Someone suggested spraying dry lube on the tarp like material on bottom of slider. The dry lube I have seems designed for metal parts and can't find any dry lube or other lubricant that would be for these. slider rails. I did apply silicone but believe I made a mistake since it now hops when extending the slider. Want to make sure I don't make another mistake. Of course the pretty much useless Montana owners manual provides no insight. Hope someone in this forum may have some guidance. Thanks
Ken
