Don't halve to be cajuns; theres nothing better than fried tree rat. My wife won't eat them but I love them. got a 22 rifle with a 9 power scope, shoot them buggers right between the eyes.
For some reason the cajuns like to use a 12 guage shootgun, that just puts them full of shot.
I just got back from the forest; it sounded like a war zone, shootgun blasts everywhere.

The squirrrils are eating wires so lets get a bunch of hunters with shotguns to start shooting between the campers.Sounds like a plan.

Had a problem last fall here at home. I took a five gallon bucket, half filled with water, cut the ends out of a can, and a wire. The wire lays across the top of the bucket rim to rim with the can on it so the can will spin. Coat the can with peanut butter and smash sunflower seeds into the peanut butter. I then floated more seeds on to of the water to disguise the water. Laid a piece of wood as a ramp from the ground to the rim of the bucket. The rodents go up the ramp, jump to the can, the can spins dropping them into the water and they drown. I have no more problem.

They may not be a problem for long here at Manatee Hammock. We've seen a pair of Red Shouldered Hawks who are nesting and should be feeding young soon.

I knew a guy who took care of a rat problem by mixing Plaster of Paris with corn meal. He also provided a bowl of water.

I agree with DFR. I have used the same procedure on squirrels, chipmunks and mice. It works like a charm. I use one of those trash pick uppers to pull them out of the can in the morning, then put them in a trash bag and off to the dumpster.

I have sprayed HOT SAUCE on things that I didn't want the horses to chew on. Maybe it would work for Squirrles. My luck they'd be Mexican Squirrles
