Here is the info for the National Park Service:

U.S. National Park ServiceAmerica the Beautiful

They also sell "park specific" passes. Like this Shenandoah park pass:

Annual and Lifetime Passes - Shenandoah National Park

State passes vary by, well, state. For instance, Washington State has their "Discover Pass"

If you're military senior or disabled, the passes are usually free or heavily discounted.

Discount Camping For The Disabled

Hope this helps!

And every state park system has their own pass or passes. They don't take the federal ones.

Florida has lifetime free state park passes for disabled veterans even if they are not state residents.

All honorably discharged veterans are eligible for a 25% discount, service connected disability is eligible for free entrance. The requirements for the passes are at: Welcome to Florida State Parks.

The wife and I took in copies of our disability certification from the VA and our military retired ID cards. The state pass was issued by the Ranger at the park we were visiting.
