I traveled with Verizon Mobile Office until they did away with the convenience of being able to use your cell phone as a modem. Now I plan to make another trip to Alabama and I need my laptop for all the things you need it for on an away from home trip. What is the least inexpensive way to do that. yes, I know that some parks have WiFi, but a lot are still not there yet. Any ideas? My main home carrier is Qwest.

Don't tell Verizon but I am still using the phone as my connection to internet. I am on it right now. Our plan is over three years old and it has always been nationwide no roaming, free nights & weekends, no long distance and mobile office since day one everyday. The newer phones may not be capable of connecting the data cables to connecto to the laptops but that is another story. If you are close enough to towers you can go to air cards. Get one with the capability to connect an outside antenna to. Good luck and keep us posted.

If you have or can get an older copy of their Mobile Office when you bring up the program it has the QuickNet (slow speed) but free connectivity choice in the window.

My newer copy does not have it, only National Access and/or Broadband.

Like RV Wizard said, it's still there they just don't advertise it. So if you know how to attach your good to go.
