Stove top grill

My stove top grill is looking nasty now even though my rig is only a 2010.

Any suggestions for getting it 'back to new' looking again ? Instead of buying a new one ?

I'm not sure what's on it by the pictures. Have you tried one of the oven cleaners? They remove all kinds of stuck and burnt on grease. Never use anything abrasive on them.

Looks like all the porcelain has burned off of them in the hot spots. If that is the case, I don't think there is much you can do.

I'm pretty sure (as bradnailer said) the areas have simply burned off.

I was thinking I could sand them down and re-paint them ???

Occasionally we replace parts of our stove top, the grill for instance and our ten year old looks pretty good, this in addition to regular thorough cleaning and care. No need to buy a complete one just replace the damaged parts.
