Straight Talk Roaming

We have used Straight Talk for years. We bought iphones from them last November. iPhone SE. Wife has traveled for first time with new phone. When she tries to call out, phone restricted message 12. Straight Talk says it is because she is outside her calling area. Never had this problem with android phones. They say she will have to change her phone number!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have tried *22890 and all that junk. Nothing works. She can receive and text both ways.

Any of you Straight Talk customers have and ideas?

I can't hear as fast as the service reps talk!!

In the settings is a feature to turn on/off roaming on android phones, can't speak to Apple.

Short update: My wife traveled just a few miles from her daughters home and the phone works just fine. She is still over 1000 miles from our home in New Mexico. It would seem her daughters place is in the Twilight Zone, Devil's Pocket, or what ever. Good news as we really have been very pleased with Straight Talk and LOVE the Apple phone.
