Stuck Awning

I have a 2003 County Coach Allure. It's equipped with "Carefree of Colorado" awnings. The awning on my bedroom slide will not roll up. I cleaned the track and sprayed it with a rust inhibitor. And it still won't move. I've never taken one of these awning apart. Any advice on freeing this awning up?

There are anti-billow locks that keep the awning from unfurling while driving, but I'm sure you have checked them.

Have you tried to roll it by hand?

You mentioned cleaning the "track". That sounds like the slide won't move, not just the awning ?

If you are talking about the slide topper, there may be a stick, small limb jamming it. Does it have a cover to protect the topper?

Yes they have a spring. And they will hurt you. Just be careful.

I don't understand. If the topper rolls up, what is the problem?

This is what the spring assy looks like:
Website: https://www.e-carefree.com/ecarefree30/catalog

I too have this window awning. It does not have an anti-billow lock, nor does it lock unfurled. It is held open by hooking the pull-strap to the hook under the window. The spring inside the tube will rust over time and stick if not lubricated yearly.
I have one that would stick unfurled, when given a nudge with the awning rod it would slowly roll-up.
I sprayed PB Blaster into the holes in the end caps (guessing spring location) once a day for several days, and rolled it up via the nudge thing. After 2/3 days it began moving a bit then sticking again and began operating normally.

I've sprayed PB Blaster into the tube. Rained last night, hard. I'll give it another shot the next couple of days. Let you know how it turns out. Thanks..
