I think in the long term you will not be so lucky that your problem is solved at this time. Leave the extra starter wiring hooked up, in fact even after the problem is corrected it would not hurt to have that back up wiring in place.

Great job on finding a tempoary fix and backup way to start your MH. If I understand correctly, you bypased the safety of MH must be in park. I may be wrong, but keep in mind that it may start in gear.

Yes, the temporary fix does bypass the neutral safety switch. However, the button is located in the wheel well. It would not be too likely that it could be accidentally started in some other gear, but I'll sure keep it in mind.

We made it home yesterday in one piece. Now I have two more things to fix:
backup camera is out, and the electric mirrors don't respond to the adjuster on the dash panel. Does this constant breaking down ever end?

2004 Tiffin Allegro 27.5 ft. P32 18,000 lb GVW. 8.1 liter. Workhorse chassis built May 2002. 21,000 miles. 2012 Jeep Liberty Toad. RVi2 brake unit.
