Successful first trip!

We arrived home in Illinois yesterday after our first road trip with our coach! The 2002 Damon Intruder made the trip very nicely pulling our '97 Jeep Wrangler. All of the advice we have read here about planning your stops really paid off. We had NO problems or issues with any aspect, from hooking up the toad to merging traffic, etc.
We did learn that over 400 miles in a day is a lot! But it was very nice to eat and sleep right there. We did one night in the Wal Mart lot near Marianna, FL and the second night at KOA in Nashville. The Nashville stop was the first time we hooked up to cable and it worked just fine!

How cool to hear your first run was a great success. We had our first run a couple of weeks ago and it too was a blast. We are planning our second run in two weeks.
Stay safe, and enjoy the ride.

Your killing me. The DW is ready to go the first day we have over 60deg. So she wanted to take a trip in march. The RV is in storage with antifreeze in the lines and this week it was back to the 20s at night. So i'm not ready to bring it out yet.
Its hard to hold her off until spring and hearing about people going makes it worse. Been seeing a lot more more RVs on the roads this last week. So hopefully it will be soon. Glad to hear your maiden trip was a success.

Rob,
It's amazing how different perspectives are. For my DW and I the camping season is about over and all our trips will now require driving north into the mountains to escape the terrible weather of our summers. Oh for the beautiful winter weather for camping in Southern Arizona.

Congratulations! You're no longer a newbie! Sure glad the maiden voyage went well. It's all fun and games from now on!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
