Just finished planning out the summer trip. First of all it will be a 6 to 8 week trip, never be on one that long prior to retirement. We will depart Arkansas and travel up through Oklahoma to Melvern Lake Kansas for a group get together of some 40 rigs. then travel west through kansas on state routes into Colorado and folow Rt 160 across souther colorado. Then into Utah and wander around that state before taking the lonliest road in America...RT 50 across Nevada. Then into California..San Francisco to visit daughter, son-in-law and of course our grand daughter. Then back through Nevada. Then into southern Utah for about a week before heading down into New Mexico and then back into Texas and finally Arkansa and home in Hot Springs Village.

Can not wait for the fun to begin

Oh yeah, love those long trips. Forget the 6 weeks, go straight to the 8 weeks- you will love it! We have been lucky to have been able to do 7 weeks for the last 3 years and have added a week this year for 8 wks. In '06 we are going for 4 months (starting about 2 weeks after my retirement). Already planning '07 for 5 months. Enjoy your trip!
