Thank you for the information after your input and what I've read I think I'm going to get a new one. It sounds like I had a hit and the unit burned out

Are you *absolutely* certain your new outlet is wired correctly?


I suggest you phone the support folks at the manufacturer to determine if the unit is faulty, spent (metal oxide varistors are self-sacrificing protection and once used, offer no further protection), or is indicating a problem incoming voltage or wiring.

I called support and they gave me a number to send it back for a new one. Now all I have to do remember where I put that darn receipt
