I sure did! Two years ago for her birthday I surprised her with a trip to Carabelle Beach, FL. I even invited her brother and sister in law. She loved the whole thing and we had a great time. BTW the place was great and the area a throw back to the 1950's, one traffic light, no box stores, etc..

Sounds like a good idea but keep in mind to pick a place she would love, not only one for you to enjoy! Perhaps the fishing camp isn't such a romantic place??

That sounds like a great idea. We've often talked about visiting in the when all the kids are in school and arriving mid weekish.

Doesn't work for us. DW packs her stuff for 3 days before we can leave home. It's no surprise then.

When we first got our MH, we took a short maiden voyage to Miami and then to NJ to see a new grandson. The first night of camping on the return trip, a member on this forum was talking about how beautiful out West was. The next day, we hung a right that lasted a little over five months...Surprise!

Did it twice. 4 years ago I arranged with her kids to take care of the pets for ten days, then told her to pack for a trip...leaving in the a.m. Took her to Ireland (she's Irish). Trip of a life time.

then two years ago I did the same thing..told her to pack as we were leaving in the a.m. Went to San Diego. In a nice bed and breakfast. Had breakfast one morning and told her she needed to step it up. I had arranged for all the kids to fly in...and her sister, who is a mail order preacher...and we got married in the garden with the kids in attendence and her sister officiating.
OBVIOUSLY another great trip.
