Its not the Mexican laws I'm worried about. Its the corrupt Gov't that exists there along with the drug lords. They see my 40'dp and they see dollar signs. And no one can guarantee me that the local officials aren't in kahoots with them. Just too much concern myself with if I were to travel there. I'll stay north of the border. There is a lot to see here in the U.S. and Canada.

No drug lord wants a DP. If a drug lord was going to steal a vehicle it would be a Pickup truck or Jeep. Maybe your TOAD? A DP sticks out like a sore thumb. Police corruption on the highways is still a problem, but rare with Federales. They purged them a couple of years back and bought in the RCMP to train the remainder. Municipal Police & Transistos are still a problem. There are strategies to deal with those. Bribing a police officer in Mexico is, BTW, a crime.

I suggest you avoid travel to Canada if you have a DP, you may be murdered and your rig burned to the ground Lyle And Marie McCann, Edmonton Couple, Still Missing After Nearly A Year. Those Canadians are a murderous bunch, eh?

That reminds me of years ago in Playa del Carmen before it was a tourist resort. They had a square with 4 roads leading into it all one way in. And a cop ticketing people trying to get out.

Our end game is to end up in central america somewhere. FIRST need to buy an RV, then get a some experience in the sites of the US. Considering some added safety in numbers. So when the time comes find a group to caravan with and off we will go.

... Did I ask for your prayers yet?
