Tampa rv show

This is the biggest RV show that we have attended. And wow. Was it crowded. We focused mainly on higher end 5th wheels but did look at some Air Streams, a Prevost Coach, and some Class B/C units. There is way too much to look at in one day but since we drove down for the day from Georgia, we could not take advantage of the second day free passes. We found most of the 5th wheels very dark inside. They had dark floors, cabinets, furniture and even dark bedspreads. It was like being in a cave and we heard many people commenting negatively about it. We looked at Lifestyle, Excel, DRV, New Horizon, and SpaceCraft. The most interesting was the SpaceCraft with a front kitchen, interior fiberglass ceiling, recessed lighting, and painted bedroom walls. I think we will keep our NuWa. By the way, you have to take off your shoes to enter any of the Prevost coaches.

We also went yesterday and it was huge. No way you can see it all in one day. We saw plenty of folks actually buying them. We were looking only at Class A's. It was fairly hot, but I think the rest of the show will not be like that. Looks like the industry is making a comeback. I did notice that the free literature was not nearly as much as in prior years. Lots of free bags to remind us of various vendors for a while.

We just arrived this afternoon and are staying up off 301. Will be there Friday AM for sure. Any vendors selling directly at the show? We need new magnetic lights for the towed.

We were at the RV show yesterday and went back for a while today, in the rain. We looked at Class A's and a few of the super C's. We also noticed that a lot of the Motor Homes had dark interiors and almost all had dark bedspreads. We also heard some people complaining about the dark interiors. Seem like that is the theme, to be cave like.

Not liking the dark colors either. We first saw them last Fall at the Detroit Show.

OK Cliff, help me out. YMMV ?

It seems RV interiors go through phases. For a long time everything seemed to be an off-white.

Back around 2000, many fabrics looked like 'early bordello'.

We are staying in Apopka and drove our car down to the show on Thursday. Saw the coaches we wanted to see, some dark and some light, all beautiful. Wish I had known about the space craft. Good lunch at the floating rest.

Been here since Wendsday and will be here through Sunday, we're dry camping on site with friends. Haven't been in one camper and probably won't, here to purchase a few specific items and service on the Intervac vacuum cleaner. It needs a new motor and will go to the factory on Sunday and be shipped to our CG on Monday! Camper displays are way too crowded for us.

I want to go, but I'm just not sure there's going to be time. Always something to do when you don't want there to be. Of course, it's probably best that I don't go, at least on the pocket book.
