Tampa RV Super Show

Anyone going to this show? DW and I are planning to attend. Sending our registration form in today. I've read it is huge and ranks right up there with the Hershey show.

I've been to both many times and the Tampa show is much larger with many more vendors.

Each year, member GaryKD has organized and held an iRV2 Social get together on Friday afternoon in the Newmar Rally tent, just outside the show.

He is in the process of obtaining permission from Newmar for use of the tent for a couple of hours for the Social.

For those who have never attended this show it is large. There are three ways to attend this show. Trolley service is usually available.

1) Staying on site, various owners groups set up sections to park in groups or clubs. Individual spots are also available.

2) Day pass. Pleanty of parking at a fee.

3) Many of the local hotels have Show special pricing. Some include breakfast or another meal in a packaged price.

One day may not be enough depending on your interests.

It's a great show to shop, browse or meet up with old and new friends.

Just looked at show layout and it seems Forest River will be the big dog this year.

yes, for the first time

I'm going for the first time. I live in Jacksonville and have gone to the Jacksonville show many times, but the Tampa show is MUCH bigger. Staying at a nearby hotel. I don't have an rv yet, but will be purchasing in the next year, so I plan on using the show to learn.

Wear comfortable shoes. For those who don't know , one days admission gets you in two days. You'll need it.

Thanks all....I'll send a PM to GaryKD ref the social.

We plan to stay in the campground the Super rally hosts inside the Fairgrounds. For those of you that have brought your MH here, whats it like? I understand they provide 30 Amp but that's all. No water or sewer which should be no problem. Are you quite a ways from the exhibits? Are you packed in like sardines? Are the sites grass or paved? Any insight is appreciated.

We are going but we have elected to stay at the Happy Travelers Campground in Thonotosassa which is very close to the fairgrounds. We wanted to stay at Lazy Days but they have been full up for a long time now. We have been to the Tampa show in the past and have also been to Hersey. We found the Tampa show to be much more like Perry than Hersey. Lot more vendors and RV's.
