Tankless??

I heard about a company based in Texas?, Florida? that was making a waste disposal unit that "burned the black wast and put it out of the exhaust. Anyone know about this? It outs a whole new meaning to " back off or I will flush!!"

By golly, I think it would work!

But the EPA may have druthers.
Seems the main by-products are carbon dioxide and clean water vapor.

The CO2 would be a deal killer, unfortnately.
Wonder what size of carbon footprint it would leave.

That is an old idea. An RV aftermarket supplier built and sold a similar item in the early 1980's; for a short time. I don't think it ever worked properly though. The exhaust would have to reach very high temperatures to burn solids efficiently, which it did not do then, today_perhaps with the EPA mandated DEF exhausts it might. The downside, we know the liquids will exit a slow-draining tank first, leaving only solids and paper in the holding tank.

I think I saw an old Dirty Jobs episode where Mike Rowe had to fix that type of toilet on a crab boat or something like that.

Never heard about that idea but why not composting toilets such as what they put into some of the "tiny homes"? Apparently they will compost all waste and only need to be emptied once a year as a fine dust good for the garden! Anyone have experience with this method of on-board waste control?

They were made back in the day (70's -80's)and sold as "Thermosan" as I recall. If they were any good, we would have seen a vastly improved and approved unit today. Just Google thermosan and you can read all about it.

Composting toilets really aren't as efficent as advertised. If not properly operated and maintained, they tend to smell.

I have heard of "Incinerating Toilets" so the concept is sound, but, that doesn't mean it will work.
