Actually, Marietta is where we are visiting a friend. That campground is off the radar, as I've searched the area. Thanks so much for that tip!

The Fl Keys are by far the warmest place to winter. We've been here in Marathon since Jan 1st and the temps have consistently been in the high 70's to low 80's. Tomorrow we're scheduled to have a really cold day of 63 but then back into the mid 70's a couple of days before resuming low 80's.

This is our 4th year going to Kerrville, TX. Yea it maight be warmer in Jan/Feb in other places, but there are a great bunch of people (winter Texans) at this campground and we have a good time together. Many activities scheduled for those who wish to participate. Right now we are in Phoenix for a few weeks, but we'll be back in Kerrville early February.

Shadow Hills RV Park in Indio, CA is a nice place to stay for a few days while visiting Joshua Tree N.P. and Palm Springs.

Even the WalMart lot in Palm Springs is quite nice.

When going thru California stay off the 5, there is nothing to see. Travel the pacific coast highway. Ventura ( you have to see the channel Islands at sunset) Carpinteria, Santa Barbara,(consider going to Jalama Beach), Pismo Beach (Monarch Butterflies by the 10's of thousands), Morro Bay, Cuyucos, Hearst Castle. Enjoy!
