Do you have to show proof of age when you make reservations or register?

Age vs beauty

So, would one of these $500 k RVs be allowed in such a Campground/Resort?

I personally don't care what someone's rv looks like. I care what the owners are like, and believe me, the age and condition of the rv is NOT necessarily a good indicator of the quality of the owners. My motorhome is in excellent condition, but 11 years old. If they don't want me based on an arbitrary number, then I don't need them. I will gladly stay somewhere else. They have the right to tell me I'm not good enough for them, and I have the right to stay somewhere else and avoid their better-than-you attitude.

This issue has been discussed here very often! Most "resorts" are privately owned sites that are managed by staff. The intent is to prevent "rusty, I'll kept, RV's" from their property. If you travel a lot or FT you been in these CG. I personally have never been challenged with the age qualification but once when we owned an 03 Excursion and were staying multiple months in the winter. They asked for a description and a picture before booking. To us this was a plus as we did not want a neighbor with a "trashy" rig. JMO!

A well maintained rig, of any age, will have no problem with 99% of the "age restricted" RV resorts. To have the option of refusing space/service, however, they have to put something in writing. After all, if someone doesn't care enough to take care of his or her own property, how thoughtful will they be with the resorts property or facilities?

Never heard of an age rule before. I've seen newer stuff that was trashed out and vintage stuff that was eye candy. what's next, no human over 60? I don't like the trash, and I've seen some that literally looked like they were ready to cave in, but diversity adds to my camping experience.

I've been asked by RV parks twice the age of my RV. Once in Albuquerque in 1985 and a few years ago at a Las Vegas park. So about 30 years traveling and well over 100K maybe close to 200K miles. Not something I'd think to worry about.

I was going to suggest "subtract 8". Back when I still had the Toyota Dolphin, early '90s we stopped at an extremely nice park in New Mexico and it had a sign at the entrance that stated "No converted school buses". Just for grins, I ask the owner/manager and he indicated it was meant for the old yellow city and county buses.

Our coach is almost 14 years old but in good shape. Actually has only 31,000 Kms on the motor. Have never had an issue with campgrounds asking age. As I have read, I believe that these CGs use that rule to avoid any misused or unmaintained vehicles coming in. If your rig is in good shape, there shouldn't be an issue.

Their campground, their rules. It's really very simple.
If it offends you then there are lots of other places.
We've never had a problem.

My old Eagle is 21 years old. I was in Florida and a guy was just staring at it as I was signing in. When I came out, he said how old is that rig? I told him thinking he was going to tell me to move along, he said she sure does look good for a motorhome that old. I breathed a sigh of relief as it was getting dark and I don't see well to drive at night.

He is the only one to ever ask me.

Everything up top is new, we removed it all and recoated the roof, then new skylights, fantastic fan covers, Max Airs, and AC's. The paint on the front cap isn't the best but when its waxed unless you get up close and really look you won't notice it. Waxed it good last year 5 coats, whew! I think this year I will get by with 1 or 2.
