Tenn Residency

Does anyone have any info concerning home base residency in Tenn. Can you own property (land) and still be a resident. What about mail service forwarding? We are fultiming now and looking for residency. Or any inexpensive insurance co in FL? Thanks

Good question, years ago we were thinking of being relocated to Tennessee, while property tax would have been less expensive the serviced offered in the area we were looking at would have been much less.

One big turn off was the high sales tax on food (5%) and other items. I couldn't imagine purchasing larger dollar items at up to 9.75 %.

Best of luck with your findings.

We went FT almost 4 years ago and lived in Tennessee. We use the local UPS store for mail forward and as our legal address. It is a correct street address and everyone is okay with it: State, Insurance and voter registration.
