Texas Neighborhoods Homes with RV pads or garages
Hello everyone,
This is BettyboopRB I have not been online for a while. We are retired now and ready to actively look for a home with a RV pad or garage within 50 miles of Houston, TX.
I found out that there are no 55 plus communities that will permit RV pads or garage.
I'm hoping there are some neighborhoods where RV pads or garages will be permitted. We are trying to prevent storing our motor home.
Do any of you have any leads for me? or know a Relator that handles homes with RV pads or a garages in Texas

I would ask some of the larger sales operations (PPL, Ron Hoover etc)

Typically newer subdivisions with HOA's may have limitations to 'extra's',
but if you go to an unincorporated area without an HOA and larger lots,
you can probably have your rv parked there...
I know of multiple ones near DFW , ours is not one,
but then again I only pay $65/mth for covered parking with electricity !!!
If you are buying just look at the covenants to see if they are excluded,
if there is not an exclusion, once you are in there you are grandfathered in...
good luck !

Seek out a local realator who also has a rv...
Ask them to find what you want...it is what they do.

Just call a realtor and tell them what you want. They should be aware of deed restrictions on the listings they are trying to sell.

Sorry not in Houston, but there is one up the street here in Pantego TX, surrounded by Arlington TX, if you want to move into my neighborhood. Garage is said to be 45', built for the seller's Prevost. From the front it is a very normal home, but from the back side, off a non named street is his garage entrance. Way cool, just coming on the market.
Arlington is not Houston, but Houston is only 250 miles down I-45, and not as humid!

Be cautious of Realtors giving you information. We got into a situation when purchasing in a neighborhood and the realtor informed us that indeed we could park our MH next to our home. What they failed to tell us is that ONLY class C motor homes could be parked there and not class A. Ask to read any HOA rulles first

Does not hurt to follow up with code enforcement too.
