Thanks to the Members of this Forum

I want to take a short minute to thank the members of the IRV2 forum. What a great wealth of information, do it yourself experience, and practical experience this is. This is almost always my first stop for problem solving. And on top of that, (with a few exceptions here and there) our manners are GREAT!

I say that because there is another forum that I used to also follow that I have nearly stopped reading. Today I decided to check in there, and most of what I read was just not in the spirit of what one would think of as a community of RVers helping each other.

Sure there are the some of the same behavior here from time to time, but for the most part, this forum is the best.

Thanks IRV2'ers.

I quit a few other forums for the reason you mention. Too much bickering and not enough help. Glad you like it here. I've been here a while....

I agree with you. I've found that all most all the folks here are very friendly and helpful. I use to be a member of escapees but I stopped going there and dropped my membership after a number of rants were allowed that I do not think should have been allowed to go on as long as they were. Besides, they disagreed with my world view! That's a joke so please don't flame me.

Glad you've found a home here. I'll add my thanks to this forum as well.

I'm closing in on my 10,000th post here and it's entertaining for me to look back at some of my first posts where I was asking questions almost as naive as "what does RV stand for"?

Seven years later after 46 states, 5 provinces, 50,000 miles and three years of full time I just don't know how I would have gotten along without this forum and all of the wonderful help from our members.

Many of us don't spend a lot of time on other internet forums so aren't very aware of how the anonymity of the web can cause otherwise normal folks to sometimes act... well, silly, when they post.

This is why we take our BE NICE rule so seriously.

For a while I jumped back and forth between IRV2 and that "other" forum, but now I never leave this one. It's a whole different atmosphere here. You don't see as much of the back-stabbing by members here, and the Moderators are always fair and respectful. I like that!
