Thanks to this forum for saving me $

I wanted to give a collective thanks to all you guys/gals for literally saving me huge bucks and heartache. I read a lot of the discussions for the last year or so, and I developed a moderate data base.

To make a long story short, I'll give it to you in bullet points

*See personal ad/exchange email/phone
*book quick flight from pdx to lax
*cab fares to Venice.
*the personal inspection saved me
*immediate cab from sellers home to lax
*run around last min by lax
*home sans rv

What saved me? I read all your stories, all your things to look forward to in checking out these RV's, and taking the time to PASS on fraudulant rv descriptions found during my rv tour.

I spotted rust/peeling on dripline. Loose screws, spider webs in certain places, suspicious oil stains, splitting sidewalls, storage compartments falling off onto the street and on and on.

Prior to reading these forums, I probably would have purchased that RV (class b). I know I wouldn't have been able to make it back to Portland without a travel story nightmare as some of which you have told.

Time to just set everything aside for now, or maybe even longer. But I registered today JUST to let you know that you saved me a ton, in both money and heartache.

Maybe a lake cabin somewhere...

THANK YOU ALL

The internet has saved me $Thousands$. The advise has saved me much heartache. The tips have saved me much time. Computers have filled in many hours and documented much I could never remember or find out about without.
This website is a major player.

Seeing the OP and your post reminded me of how valuable this site is to me and inspired me to just now become a contributing member.

Thank you,

Saving me money? You have got to be kidding me. Since joining IRV2 I have spent thousands of $$$ on new toys, mods, upgrades, must have's and what ever's. But I've really have had a lot of fun doing it.

Yes, this forum and the advice shared here is priceless. DH is fond of saying "the stupid will be punished". The education provided here, if heeded, goes a long way towards curing stupidity.

However, I do not think there is any cure for the very serious condition known as RV (Wander)Lust.

I'm glad this forum has worked so well for you.

I try to avoid letting the DW in here. Whenever I do I hear, "know what we could use", or "I think we need"

Always winds up costing me.

I'm happy you had a positive experience, and learned from irv2.com.
No-one knows everything, but collectively irv2.com members come pretty close.
