The Birds, The Birds!

Our new(used) MH is stored in the driveway for winter. I don't think this happened with the old MH, but when the dogs came out of the house today, they ran like crazy around the front of the MH, and birds started coming out!!! Somehow I don't think that's right. They flew to the rhododendron bush (little starlings, sparrows? or something). Hmmm.. Do I need to put a full skirt around the chassis to get the birds out? My son thinks they're hiding from the local hawks. Help!

The good news is birds don't nest in winter. That can be a real mess and a fire hazard depending on where they build.

Of course, they still poop all year.

maybe laying a plastic snake or a plastic owl in front of the motorhome will scare them off.

I tried using a rubber snake to scare away a female robin that was trying to build a nest under the deck at our old stick house. I didn't want all the twigs and poop on the patio below. She built her nest right in the coils of the rubber snake. I didn't try the owl, though.

I bought a motion-activated rainbird, they're designed to keep pests away, and it works! problem is, won't work in freezing weather obviously...

here's a video, check it out--
