Interstate highways are maintained by the state, not the Federal Government. Ever see a snow plow with U.S.A. on the side? Federal funds helped build them, but then it ends except in a national emergency.

I avoid interstate routes and big cities when I can.
2 lane roads provide a scenic, soft, quiet, gentle, entertaining journey.

My way is the OLD highway.

Only 18% of the Federal Government is affected by the shutdown, 82% of the programs are up and running. Don't believe all the BS the news media feeds you do a little fact finding and you will be surprised at what you find. Jim

Go to the Hi jolly section of BLM land there. There is nothing there to shut down or open up for that matter.
