In my mind, I see a rig with this combination of features...

1. Motor home (not a trailer or 5th wheel) less than 30 feet long (because our style is more wilderness than groomed)

2. The motor home has a "garage" just big enough to hold a "Smart Car" (~ 9 feet long) That way we don't have to tow another vehicle or use our RV for local exploring.

3. The garage also has an entry door for people so that they can enter/exit the garage from outside without lowering the ramp.

4. When the car is out of the garage, the garage doubles as a "mud room" allowing us, with our messy style to enter with our wet, muddy rain gear on, strip those messy items off, and hang them up to drip dry, then we can go from the mud-room into the living area without taking the mess with us.

5. We also want a normal queen sized bed in the living area, at floor level so we don't have to climb into any more over-cab caves.

I could go on but I think I've gone far enough to reduce the pool of RVs meeting my critiera to zero… so I might as well stop.

Sounds crazy eh?
Keep in mind that I'm not constrained by reality..
But that sure would be nice… too bad it doesn't exist… (or does it?)

With those features my mind's eye conjured up a 45 footer... would be nice though. They are starting to do some creative things with toy haulers but this all might be a stretch.

How about a fold down bed in that "garage"? A roof covered in solar panels?

I could find everything but the queen size bed in the Newmar Canyon Star. I'm sure they can accommodate you.

where would the tennis court be housed
actually a short toy hauler would be nice
but if it meant driving a smart car i would stay home
the only positive thing i can say about a smart car is they are saving gas
which gives me more please don't any one be offended i believe in individual
choice but that ain't mine

Thanks for the lead, From what I can gather from the Newmar www page and brocures, it looks like the garage is only available on units of 35 feet and longer. Too bad

Feel free to change the garage spec to read "large enough to fit a mini-cooper" if it helps... but I think they are at least a foot longer making the combination of features just that much harder to find.

Change # 1 from "less than 30' long" to "less than 40' long" and you may make it.

not crazy at all but you may have to design and build it your self, do some digging on the net and you will find many examples of custom built rigs. a murphy bed will let you have the bed you want they are putting these in new small mh's seen the ad on this site. good luck anything is possible if can't b done is ignored

Even Newmar doesn't make anything like that. By the time you make a 10' garage, make space for bath, kitchen, fridge, etc., THEN add the weight of the car (wet), tanks, fuel, people, etc., it probably just doesn't work. And even if it did, there is a market of one.

You need to think longer or tow..
