The Swede from North Dakota - Need Winterizing Help

Hi-I'm John -I have a 1994 Aerbus and am wondering how to winterize it-the instructions tell me to put 6 gallons in the water tank and pump it through the system. I don't feel that I should get the antifreeze in the tank or the hot water heater. Can anyone help me with this since winter is right around the corner here in North Dakota.

I don't know about the 94 models but later years have a water heater bypass system that allows you to drain the water heater and fresh water tank and only pump antifreeze through the plumbing.
Most of these have a suction tube that the pump uses to draw antifreeze from the jug and pump it through the system. If you don't have such a system they are available in many/most RV stores.

Keep the anti freeze out of the water heater use a bypass kit and drain the heater. When you take it out in the spring make sure you flush the system before you replumb the water heater and refill it before you turn it on.

make sure you use fresh water antifreeze not the kind for engines !!!!!!!!!

Run propylene glycol, pink, antifreeze. Make sure you run it through all faucets AND sprayers. All of them. I learned the hard way. Had to replace a kitchen sink sprayer that froze and broke.
