Things I Wish Came With My RV

So I have had my 2014 Itasca Sunstar 30T for a few months now and their are a few things I really wishe were eith included or available as a factory option, like:

1. A driver's cup holder - a little thing for #1 on the list, but come on! I pay a lot of$$ for the RV and then I have to go find a cup holder at a marine accessories store, paint it to match the rest of the fine plastic, and glue it to the side of the RV myself? Really.

2. Radio controls that the driver can reach - my arms are not 6 ft long. I cannot change the radio volume and keep my eyes on the road.

3. Cab mats

4. Dash mat - would be nice to be able to get a factory made/ fitted dash mat. The template for my RV doesn't seem to be at the dash mat sellers yet

5. No carpet cab area - I could get the rest of the RV in laminate, but not the cab? Why?


Ok - your turn. What do you wish would come from the factory?

You may have carpet in the cab area to act as a sound deadener for drivetrain noise.

I wish my TT had a walk around queen bed in the front instead of one turned sideways.

I'd like it if they came with factory OEM tire pressure monitoring like on other vehicles.

For my motor home - -
1) remote tire pressure monitors (that works well). If it's sooooooo important, why doesn't it come with it.
2) built in GPS/route advisor where my camera monitor presently resides. The cameras kinda, sorta, if you stare at the screen long enough, tells you where the surrounding vehicles are.
3) a much better user guide designed for MY coach not some generic, 1 of a possible 11, model guide
4) a engine/systems dash monitor that doesn't require a doctorate in electronics to operate and change modes, screens, etc. Note: I have positioned myself in the driver's seat with book in hand and still can't navigate the various screens successfully.

How about just having an RV that is put together correctly and checked for errors before you get it, so it doesn't take the next four years fixing things yourself after paying tooooo much money for there know how?????? And then finding out that they are amateurs more sometimes than you are????

A realistic build approach to CCC (cargo carrying capacity). It is no secret a fulltimer has approx 1500 lbs of stuff onboard, often two people, some fresh water, some waste water, and propane. Every RV should be built with a CCC margin including the above and still have pounds to spare.

All of the above. Maybe a couple extra inches around the bed and accessible closets when the bed slide is in.

This one really irks me. Just bought a 2014 5er and it came with an owners manual printed in 2011 for a TT. Asked the dealer about getting one for the 5er was like talking to a brick wall.

We have bought a couple new Rv's over the years and you never think of that until after the deal is done. Then it is too late and they don't care about you any more. When someone on here is asking advice on buying a new RV, that would be some good advice.

OEM installed tire pressure monitor, with sensors inside the tires like cars and trucks have.

More CCC.

Cable ways from the front to rear to allow easier upgrades to TV/Stereo technology. Guess HDMI wasn't popular in 2009.

Forgot brighter headlights. I trade my other wishes for this one.
