No, just trying to lighten up the situation. There in Florida, the weather does what it does and most times, is unpredictable. Even though the sun might be out, when I go into a store, I've learned to always roll the windows up. Just like you, we're all waiting for that illusive sunshine. It's all tongue in cheek! Bob

Hey... We figured it was going to warm up some. I put the winter water hose away (It has some rope lights taped to it so if the temps go down the hose lights up... And keeps warm) and got out the summer hose (Easier to wrangle) wife told me the expected low tonight.. Put away the summer hose. got out the winter one, plugged the T-Stat in.

Weather

I recall being in Ft. Meyers at a very fancy beachfront hotel observing a New Yorker with a very thick accent complaining to the concierge, "I'm not paying $600 a night for this sh***y weather". The look on the concierges face was, as they say, priceless.

His room was only $600? Well, it was a long time ago, I was on my way back from there when the first gulf war started.

A heavy rain in California might qualify as a drizzle in Florida, very good for testing the water tightness of ones rig.

Hmmm . . . we recently got back from our spring break trip (I'm a teacher). Yeah, so we left sunny California and went NORTH to Oregon and Washington. I had to wear a turtle neck because I'm sure I began developing gills! Found a great bookstore in Portland on the advise of a friend, though!

Being a working girl, I'll trade you your rainy/cool day camping for a sunny/warm day behind my desk at the office.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

be sure to give us your review of Geronimo Park. I've stayed in sight of it but not there. I've used Destin Rv resort which is just a couple of blocks from Geronimo.

Well now, hang on just a bit there. We live 70 miles NW of Panama City. We ordered that rain to raise the swamp a little. It has been dry round here for a spell. Tomorrow a little cloudy and fer the next week or so it will be in the 70's and sunny.

And for the uninformed. We are not on the Florida West Coast. We are in the PanHandle. There.

Weather is one of the many resons why I prefer boondocking. If the weather forecast doesn't suit me I either wait it out where I am, or choose another direction. If I had campground reservations and would get charged anyway, I'd be more likely to be in your shoes.

BTW Here in the Dixie National Forest, 8 miles from Bryce Canyon, Utah it was sunny and 72 degrees with a light breeze.

For reasons unknown, SOMEONE up there apparently wants you to spend some quality time with loved ones indoors. Sit tight, play cards, watch a movie, read a book, take a nap......one thing guaranteed about weather is it WILL change. Eventually. Sorry it isn't to your liking but here's hoping it gets better so you can enjoy the rest of your stay!
