$10.00 a foot for hand wash and paste wax- by hand. And I don't care what per centage $20.00 bucks is- I surely won't be tipping any more than that- even if it is a fantastic job. Please- if you know any place cheaper, I'd love to hear about it. We're in southern MO northern AR area...

We are in Southern California. I sure hope the kid didn't feel like $20 was a slap in the face as that was clearly not my intent.

I think the whole tipping thing has gotten carried away. I don't tip the owner, but if he has an employee and he did an exceptional job I'll tip him/her.

Tip is synonymous for what it really is. "gratuity". By definition, "something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service; especially : tip"

I regard the degree of service I get as the reason for either giving or not giving a tip. If it is above an beyond the degree of service expected and paid for, then by all means, express your gratitude to the person who gives exemplary service. I have tipped the manager at Jersey Mikes $5.00 on a $10.00 dollar sub because of his great attitude.

For really substandard service, I also tip. Usually in the amount of $.025 to $0.50 to convey my opinion of the service rendered. BTW, my DW hates that practice. It's either that or complain to management. Hopefully, the one rendering service or really disservice, gets the point without also getting chewed out by their boss. Though a good butt chewing can be beneficial for all of us at times. My DW certainly seems to think it is good for me.

No! Never gotten that kind of service from them.

Have to wait for hours in the doctor's office, so I should be able to bill them.

Most lawyers I deal with are on the other side of the table.

Don't have enough money to need an accountant.

When you get to the RGV, Google Steve ll out of Alamo!

When you pull into a RV spot, the wash crews will be there soon. Some are better than others, I like Steve ll

Thank you! We spent time in FL the last two winters, looking forward to spending some time in Texas this winter, also.

Taking notes on where this economical wash is :-)

Thx -

Waiters/waitresses in most states do not get minimum wage, Washington must be different. Here the going wage for a waitress is about $2.50 an hour PLUS tips, which they have to split in most cases with the hostess.

In any case I wouldn't tip anyone who's job wasn't to make your experience pleasant. Waiters, hunting/fishing guides, tour guides are all there to make the event pleasant. Cashiers, mechanics, lawyers, doctors are there to perform a service and charge accordingly.
