Tipping gas attendants

They make $10.75 an hour. The reason the politicians passed they pump law was for employment purposes. The did not care that the owners of the stations had to pay the attendants, or should I say the people purchasing any product at the station. The owners just raised the prices ie guess who again got screwed. NO DO NOT TIP or they will start expecting it.

We are a tip happy society. Why should we tip some one for doing their job???? I know servers in our US restaurants are a different story. But outside of them I generally do not tip

FYI.........
NJ passed their law in 1949
OR passed their law in 1951

Both were over concerns of 'public safety' in the handling of Class I Flammable Liquid

Nothing to do about 'employment'

How do you feel about tipping RV Park Work Campers?

Maybe is was about safety in 1949-1951, but in 2019?

48 other states have self service pumps with excellent safety records. The reasons to keep these archaic laws in NJ and OR today can only be politics and festherbedding.

I didn't know this was a thing. I got fuel at a tuck stop out in Oregon a few years back. when the pump jockey came out I thought it was just because it was a nice truck stop.
