Tire Decision Made!

Decision Made! Toyo's it is.

I almost bought the Cooper/Hercules H802's till I had one shipped in to look at it and found out they are made in China. I thought they were American made.
Further, the DOT date stamp was 4311. Almost two years old.

From there I looked at Hancooks. Nice tire, Korean made, good reviews, but the best DOT date I could get was 4711. For $35 more per tire, I'm now going with the Toyo M147 Premium Steer tire. The DOT date stamp is 4812. In fact, the Toyo's were the only tire out of 5 major brands that wasn't made in 2011. This was checked from Tire Distributors in Phoenix.

The new Toyo's, out the door for (6) 295/75R22.5 tires, mounted, balanced and installed, tax in is $3132.00 from Fletcher Tire in Phoenix. If interested, ask for Frank there.

I was real interested in the Toyo's but the M147 seems to only come in a G rating and the M154 in H rating still only shows a max Load of 6610. I need the 295/75R22.5 but the Toyo's are just not enough tire for my coach. Looks like my next choice will be Continental. Wonder what dates they will have?

I see your rig is a 41.5. Mine is a 37'. Thus the "G" load rating. Is yours a Tag? I stood beside one of these tires they are HUGE! About 39".

295/75 doesn't usually go above LR G, so you may have trouble finding one. What brand do you have now and is it a H rated tire?

Presently have "POS" Goodyear 275/80R22.5 H rated. Dealers claim the 275/80R22.5 size is interchangeable to 295/75R 22.5 from brands that don't offer the original size. You are right on LR I only find H in the Bridgestone and Toyo brands and the Toyo H weight ratings are 550lbs lower than the Goodyears
