Tire monitors

I know , i used the search engine but nothing really stood out as the latest and greatest. What is the most reliable and user frendly? We had a rear inside blowout last year east of Vicksburg Ms. (BAD roads). been looking at a system but can't decide. Your input? Thanks.

We have the TireTraker system. When be bought it 4 years ago it was the best deal out there for a system with 10 sensors. Below are some of the features.

1. Easy to program and use.

2. "cap" type sensors to prevent air loss from the valve stem.

3. User replaceable sensor batteries, low cost too!

4. Good customer service!

5. Lifetime warranty!

Besides the normal stuff tpms do here some stuff that high on my list.

1) I boondock so turning on/off the signal booster off is important, the problem come from remembering to turn it back on.
2) When the display unit is turn off and then turned back on, I expect the unit to clear out the old valves and display no misleading data until it get updated. My first unit displayed old values until it updated.
3) i like flow thru sensors. There is a seal that gets squashed each time the cap sensor gets installed. Leaks are a pain in the butt, I dont need anymore.
4) larger screen is better. When driving I get to glance at the screen, not analyze it. I need simple, Big numbers and a red light when something is wrong.
5) Since I tow a car I need those tires to be monitored. I also need the ability to tell the unit not to monitor the car tires.

My current unit is a tire safeGuard it can be powered by a standard usb cable or the 12 volt cig lighter cable. Note the power switch does not work if is plugged in, On the internal battery it works fine. My RV is 32 feet plus tow bar plus car, no signal booster required. Also the tire safeGuard has an option to adjust the displayed tire presures plus or minus 9 to help match up with tire guage.

We have the eeZTIRE TPMS. If you are towing four down you can set your toad as a trailer and do what you want.
I like this system and do not need a booster, but I have a class C and am about 40' long.

TST - Truck Systems Technology - been running their system for almost a decade, I think. SUPERB customer service if needed. Can vouch that this has saved me from disaster at least 3 times. Used to check tire pressures with a gauge every morning - but had 3 punctures due to road debris - never would have known I had a flat until possibly had a blowout since was moving when the TPMS alarmed. Started pulling a toad earlier this year, easily added 4 more sensors. Sensors have user-replaceable batteries. Installed metal valve stems on the coach (Borg for the rear duals), but toad has OEM stems. NOT the flow-thru sensors - those have a notably larger size - cannot use on rubber stems. All TPMS seem to cost about the same and function the same way- so look for support and durability. ST

I got the EEZTire system, can only speak to replaceable batteries (one of the sensors had a dead battery I needed to replace) and it's very easy to program.

I only have ~3,000 miles since I got it, works well most of the time without the repeater (rig is 40' long) but if it's raining out the rear wheels on the tow car tend to drop out. I've got the extender for the system, just haven't installed it yet.

I got the mixed-sensor setup, anti-theft for my towed and flow-through for the RV.

Took all of about 20 minutes for me to install and configure, but that was after 10 minutes of reading the manual.

Happy with it so far.

Update:
I have had the EEZRV TPMS for a year and a half. I am very satisfied with it.

Yesterday I emailed them about an improvement that I would like to see made (i. e. independent trailer axle setting). I am pleased to say that they have already replied to my communication. I am even more pleased to let you know that they already have this improvement in their updated unit which starts shipping the end of the month. 😁

I can only tell you about the EezRV sytem. We have had it for two seasons.
Pretty straight forward.
Easy to change batteries.
Pretty easy to program.
Seems dependable, no problems yet.
I bought 6 flow through type for the rv and 5 cap type for the toad.
I swap between the toad and a trailer often.
Just change the pressure parameters.
I feel better knowing what is going on and I can easily see tire pressures.
I would buy it again.

I have the TST 507 as does my daughter, the systems work great and Customer Service has been nothing short of Outstanding.
