Tire pump, need help comparing, and advice

We need help comparing these two pumps.

The application is a RAM 3500 dually Cummins, tire size, Load E, LT235/80R17, 80 psi max, load is an arctic fox 865 camper if that makes a difference

Can you tell me the difference between these two pumps and if you had your way which one would you prefer?

SuperFlow MV90 Portable 45 Amp 12V Battery Powered Air Compressor w/ Carry Bag
and
Viair 400P-RV Automatic Portable 12V, 150 PSI Air Compressor Kit for RV Tires

Or, is there something better…low cost - high quality, you would suggest?

Thank you,
Randy

A lot of people swear by the Viair 400 and 450 RV. If your tire pressure is 80 PSI, I doubt that a 90 PSI pump would cut it.

Since we have a generator, we use an AC powered pump.

I have big tires 4-365/70 and 4-315/80 22.5's lots of battery power and a 12.5 Kw gen I can pretty much use anything but I chose a Viaia 450 RVS since it's a 100% duty cycle. For smaller tires I'd go with the 400.

I have the SuperFlow mounted under the Jeep hood, really works well for airing up the tires after wheeling. 5 years in service.
I have also used it to take MoHo tires from 80 to 100 PSI in about 10 minutes.
Only problem was a grain of sand got under one of the Stainless Steel reed valves and would only put out 40 PSI, Easy to take apart and clean.
Others in the Jeep group are pleased with their Vidar pumps.

The model number is MV90, but the website states maximum air 150 psi
Thank you,
Randy

Besides the PSI rating, how long can you run the pump? Big tires take a lot of volume, so it can take quite a while to fill them from scratch. That is why the Viiair 450 is used on larger tires. Our AC pump has a one gallon tank, so the pressure drops quickly and I have to stop and let the pump pressure catch up if filling from scratch. Topping up 10psi or less is no big deal. My 6 gallon pancake compressor does it no sweat, but its large to store in the RV.

Okay, it says the SuperFlow MV90 can run 40-minutes on and 40-minues off to cool down
45 amp / 12 volt
6400 cubic inches per minute

Viair 400p-RV can run 20-minutes on and 40-minutes off
30 amp / 12 volt
2488 cu in per minute. There chart starts at zero and goes to 150 psi, the more pressure the less ci per min. So I took the middle of the chart at 70 psi = 2488 cu in. They also list in cub feet instead of cu in, so you have to use a conversion calculator or chart.
0.0 psi = 3974 cu in
150 psi = 1227 cu in

Viair 450p RVS run time 40-minutes on 40-min off
The volume rate is the same as for the 400p

Does this information help us?

I have the 400p RV. I use it on 235/85/16 tires. It is more than adequate for topping them off. As a test I inflated from flat to 70 psi. It took about 12 mins.

I would go with the VIAIR 450-RV. You could use the 400 on those tires, but you may trade up to something with larger tires that need the 450!
