Tire Repair Kit

Camping World has a tire repair kit that includes an air compressor that will inflate an RV tire. It sells for less than $90.00 and weighs around 4lbs. Anyone know anything about this item.

Don't know anything about this one specifically, but I would be very skeptical about using any "sealer" on a high pressure RV tire. Injecting sealer, even in a tiny hole, is a gamble at best. It might let you limp to a service area at low speeds, but I wouldn't trust it for anything else.

The spec quotes inflation to 2.5 Bar in 4-6 minutes, but 2.5 Bar is only 36 psi. Not even in the ball park for pressures on larger rv tires. I have no idea how big a 50 liter tire is either, but I suspect it's a smaller air volume than most motorhomes utilize.

In short, this is probably good only for a passenger car tire (and I personally wouldn't use it for that either).

I would put the money towards coach net or good Sam. ERS is the way to go. I do carry a tire repair kit and CO2 tank - but in the jeep for trail repairs out in the midst of nowhere.

It appears that 36 PSI is its max which makes it pretty useless for most RVs.
If you want a compressor there are several out there for less than $100. I have a one piece Sears, 150 PSI and has no trouble brining my front tires up to 115 PSI; $99.00

thanks for the response. i didnot plan on using it for puncture repair as i have good sam roadside but was going to use it to top off the tire pressure. i like the sound of lowes compressor

That looks like the compressor I bought for my car and it is painfully slow.....although it does get there. I have a larger compressor on board with a tank for the 5er.
