Tire Replacement
Suggestions for tires besides Michelin? XRV is stupid expensive and only a 14 ply, Hercules H902 is 16 ply for 1/3 the cost...Thanks

Go elsewhere. There must be other tire dealers that have them. You can get them online and have them shipped to you or an installer. Try Tire Rack or Simple Tire.com. (I saw them at $411.93 on Simple Ties website)

Lots of excellent brands in between Michelin and Hercules. Toyo, Yokohoma, Sumitomo, Hankook, Bridgestone's Firestone division, and even Michelin's BF Goodrich brand.
You didn't mention a size, but usually every major tire manufacturer has either the size or an equivalent.
More "plies" are no advantage if you don't need the extra load capacity. Modern radial tires all have about 4 plies anyway - the "ply" count is a rating (virtual plies) determined by the load capacity of the tire. 14 ply is load range G, but the actual weight rating (in lbs) will depend on the tire size. If the tire you buy exceeds the axle load requirements, buying extra plies or lbs is of little or no value.

I haven't seen Goodyear RV tires mentioned? Any comment?

I replaced my Michelins with Toyo M144s for about $1,200 less than the Michelins and have been pleased.

I just replaced my eight Bridgestones last week. I went with Yokohama 104ZR. My size 295/80.22.5 $365/each, installed and balanced. Same pattern I had on my Bridgestones and 16 ply.

After a lot of research, I went with Hankook AH11.
