Do you mean you have a set of
16.5" rims and you replaced them with a set of
16" rims?
If so, that was a wise move as 16.5 inch tires are getting harder and harder to find
and they are extremely expensive when you do find them.
Our rig had 16.5" tires on it and the size was 8.00xR16.5 LT which where 8 ply rated tires (load range D).
When I replaced them with 16" wheels and tires, the equivalent tire size was a 215/75/R16.
I also went with a 10 ply rated tire (load range E) and am so much happier with the way the rig rides and drives now. I would suggest you do the same for no more difference there is in the price.
