Have 8.75R16.5 tires can only find 8.00R16.5 locally that I can afford will they work for my 84 Holiday Rambler

If the load rating on the tire's match your motor home weights your good to go

Michelin makes a 9R16 that would more likely have the necessary load (weight) capacity.

Going to 16" tires will necessitate changing rims. That isn't necessarily a bad thing since it would open up many more economical choices for tires! Not sure if your chassis is Ford/Chevy/or Dodge. Here's a conversation on rims that may be helpful: converting-16.5-rims-to-16-rims

I had a 34' 95 Winnebago Vectra gas unit that had the exact same size 16" tires on it as my 91 Dodge 3/4 Ton diesel pickup. That really never seemed right to me, but it worked since the load rating was adequate for the motor home axles.
