Tires in Albuquerque?

In case I need to buy tires when in Albuquerque next week, can anyone recommend a reasonable shop with fair pricing? Any good deals?

Please advise if you can.

Sent email your way. The excitement is building. The Sandia Casino is very nice if ya get the itch - and the rooms are great - the pool is beautiful.

Lol - I will say for a room with a view - great golf course and pool - you can't beat the place in ABQ. But ya pay for it. We stayed there the two nights before picking up the Bounder and didn't want to leave.

Dogpatch,

I use A-B Tire here in Albuquerque and have done so for the past 15 years. In fact I was just in there last week with my MH. Great people to deal with and centrally located to the Big-I. (I-40 & I-25 interchange)
Speak with Darryl. Their address is 2848 Girard Blvd. NE Albuquerque. And their phone # is 505 884-0686. Their main tire lines are Toyo, Dunlop & Kelly but can get Michelin's too. I have found them to be the least expensive and most professional.
Welcome to Albuquerque and hope you can stick around for the Balloon Fiesta which runs from October 5th to the 15th this year.

Hope this helps!
Dee

Dee,

We are coming to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta. Would like to arrive a day before our scheduled date to enter the grounds. Can we park at the Sandia Casino and overnight in the motorhome for one night?

Thanks,

Hi Joe,

I wouldn't see why not as they have a massive parking area and would love to have you part with your money. I haven't been to Sandia in quite some time so can't tell you if it is allowed or not. But, I will check into it for you and get back to you soon. If not then I will check into an alternative location close by.
If you haven't been to the Balloon Fiesta before then be prepared for an awesome time and sights. If you have been, then welcome back!! See you on the field.

Dee

Joe,

I just checked and overnight parking is allowed in lots C and D which are on the East side of the casino. Hope this helps.

If you are interested in Michelin tires, and if you are member of FMCA, they have a program called Michelin Advantage Program. If you go to their website, so can learn about the program. You pay Michelin directly for the tires and the dealer for the installation and their service.

It saved us a lot of money from the best prices we found going retail (total out the door).

Might be worth a look.

Try A/B Tire company--2848 Girard NE in Albuquerque, Phone 505-884-0686 The Guy I dealt with is Dan Schroeder. They wholesale to other tire stores as well. Got some Kelly 245-70R19.5 for my motorhome. Their prices were best I could find in Albuquerque(and I'm cheap) I do recomend them.....hope this helps
You can park for free at Sandia. Also all the Walmarts in Albq. allow free parking. There is one about a mile or less from A/B Tire. Its on Carlisle NE Just north of Menaul. I see rv's there all the time.
Any other info you need just let me know.
