GaryRVroamer---expresses my sentiment pretty much ditto. When I first joined this site I entered a tire thread my first time out----wow did I get my ears pinned back---almost threatening that I would have nine year old tires----certainly wanted to scare me to death. It worked for a while---but I kept reading, listening, asking questions and investigating and pretty much decided the 4, 5, 6, 7 year automatic expense date for tires was exaggerated and arbitrary.

Certainly there are folks who have had bad experiences with tires. I certainly do not blame them and would never say a person is wrong to replace at whatever number of years they choose.

MY chosen date will make my tires cost me about $280 per year for the lot of them---good service---good value---and at ten years as much risk as I want.

I'm very curious about what I will find inside when I make the change here in a few weeks.

When I consider what tires do---it is remarkable they do it so well---often while they are being abused. Millons of them preform for a long, long time (pick your own year) every single day without mishap.

Anyway---lather on some of the 303---I think it will help.

I have to fully agree with everything including the 303.
We have no way of knowing how well each individual maintained their tires ie. tire pressures, overloading, wrong load range, sit for months on end, no uv protection etc, etc. Then be so brazen as to go on an open forum and make statement that brand X is worthless. Reminds me of the Cummins vs Cat, Ford vs GM, gass vs diesel. Sometimes it makes for interesting reading, but it's totally worthless.

In 35 plus years of owning a RV of some type. The only blow outs, I ever had was with the Michelin XRV 22.5". Two zipper blow outs in 2 years. Was enough for me.

1st one the tire was only 4 years old.

Check Michelin's warranty out on their RV tires.
Warranty for sidewall cracks is 0 days.

Goodyear RV tires have a 7 Year warranty on sidewall cracks.

I agree about not knowing how well people maintain their tires. However, in our case it was obvious the previous owner took extremely good care of his motorhome, and it turns out we knew them as friends of friends (found out after we bought the Aspect from a dealer).

Search this forum as well, they're all over the place. This is not a problem unique to my experience.
I stand by my OPINION that they're not worth the money.

Now you stated it correctly " my opinion" And I can respect that.
Do the same with any tire manufacturer and you will find the same things.

Your opinion is accepted and respected. Your opinion of anothers opinion is not.
