Is there one Toll Tag that works in more than one state? Here in Fl there is Sun Pass. What are you folks using?

EZ Pass & IPass both work from Maine to Delaware and west to Illinois and all state sin between, but no where else.

No there isn't one. Or even two. EZ Pass is probably the most widely used, but that is still only a fraction of all toll roads.

They call it Good to Go in Washington state. I believe each state makes their own contract with the tolling company, WA just changed from one company to another with the resultant pain and misery.

If you're just passing thru stopping and paying seems to be the easiest. If you will be there a while sometimes buying the pass is worth the effort. For example it's a dollar something a trip less $ if you have a pass as opposed to stopping and paying. If you were in the area for 3 months and using the Narrows Bridge 5 days a week it makes sense to buy the pass. If you're touring the penninsula and will cross once or twice, it's not worth the effort.

I think we're onto something with this national healthcare thing. When that works out perfect and smoothly then it'll be easier to convince the states to cooperate on toll roads too. (end sarcasm font here)

You only THINK it did. iPass is not accepted in Florida, nor is EZ Pass. SunPass is the only electronic toll system accepted. Chances are if you used the iPass in south Florida you will get a Toll By Plate bill, any other place in Florida will issue a toll violation citation. Yes, Florida sends both the bill and/or the citation to out of state vehicle owners.

Ez Pass does work in Florida. Example is toll road that bypasses Orlando off I 4. Signs say EZ Pass and Sun Pass.

EZ Pass works on all the Texas toll roads we've encountered.

An E-ZPass based in one state does not necessarily work in all states with E-ZPass, as not all states are networked.

Delaware indicates my E-ZPass will not work in FL or TX.

E-ZPass Delaware -

Texas and Florida are NOT listed on the E-Z Pass website. Did you guys receive a bill for tolls in those unlisted states? Wonder how it works without an announced arrangement.

Oops - ours here in Texas is called an EZ Tag, not an E-Z Pass (is that confusing or what? ) See HERE.

I travel a lot from Wyoming to Houston TX to see family, and got tired of the toll roads in-between.

We got a TX & CO EZ Pass, a Kansas pike pass, and an OK pass.

They say they can't be installed close together, so I mounted each on on a small piece of plexiglass, and as we enter each state the DW swaps one pressed against the windshield for the next one.

How many toll taker jobs do you suppose that did away with. We were amazed how quickly the toll booths disappeared last year. Can they bill Canadians with the toll by plate? Sure enough snowbirds from the great white north eh?

We have a Sunpass mini BTW and it works great. We summer in NY and don't have an EZpass. We just don't go enough places with tolls to bother.
