Took the Foretravel tour

My wife and I drove from our house in Tomball Texas to Foretravel in Nacogdoches. About 3 hours. Nice friendly people, great tour, lots to see. Was only the two of us so it was like a private tour. I was impressed with the access to see and walk around everywhere. Workers were all quite receptive and friendly as well I would recommend anyone passing by to stop in and tour
Monday through Thursday at 10am.

Are you considering a Foretravel or just kicking tires? I'd like to see the factory and what they have to offer even though I'm not rally in the market.

My parents had a Foretravel, I know they were treated very well at the factory.
Some other manufacturers will let you tour and talk to the workers, Newmar is one. I did the tour some years ago.

Sounds like the tour we received at the "old" Country Coach factory. The workers took pride in their work and would spend any amount of time explaining what they did and why.

And then the Howard brothers took over and it went to pot. Glad we bought the pre Howard coach.

Years ago we stopped at a Foretravel dealer. We asked about slide outs. We still laugh at the salesman's statement "Foretravel will NEVER put in slides" like it was beneath them.

Do they have slides now?

We also took the CC tour some years ago while at an FMCA rally in Albany. I'm not sure the quality is any better or worse in our new to us '09. Well at least the chassis and coach part!

Not in the market for a new rig , happy with our Fleetwood Revolution LE
Speaking of slide outs, Foretravel has the slickest set up. All rounded corners, totally encased, (even on the bottom), and a vacuum, pressure seal gasket.

I've always loved the Foretravel slides. I think theirs are the nicest looking in the industry.

The components are all HWH. Same used on a lot of Pervost conversions and Newells.

One of my favorite parts is the flush inside floor.

Foretravel is using many features Newell has used for years, like the slide-room flush-fit exterior and floor design and seals. A friend has a 2003 Newell with them.
