Tornado - Sugar Hill RV Park - Convent, LA

Terrible .. saying up to 150 RV's have been damaged, lots of them flipped onto each other. Lots of injuries and some fatalities from this afternoon's tornado. Everyone in the path of this storm, please be safe. Pray that they find all of the people there. First responders are still digging people out from under RV's.

Very sad to hear about deaths and see all the destruction ( photos are on USAToday.com) This is a strong reminder to all of us to always ensure that we always know where the emergency storm shelter is whenever we stop for the night. Also should have the storm warning app on our cell phones that follows our locations.

Some of the videos of this event are terrible to watch. Some RVs are just shattered and others right near them are okay.
Our prayers go out for them.

Sure hate to see things like this. We pray for the poor souls in all their difficulty, for the families of those lost, and for the healing of those hurt.

The video I saw from channel 4 was sobering. My prayers go to the families of he two dead and several that are missing as well as the dozens they say were injured and hospitalized.

So sad to see this. Praying for all involved and thanking the first responders for their help. Not only do we have weather radios and cell phone notification apps, but two dogs too. Always pay attention to the dogs. Look for escape when first arriving new area. Take care out there.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those directly affected and their families. May all first responders and others helping to search and clean up the aftermath remain safe.

So sad, yet could have been so much worse! We are praying for the folks who have lost loved ones and possessions.

From this day forward, when we pull into an RV park, the first thing we will do after setting up is to find the nearest safe shelter! It may be a community storm shelter, a store or church basement that would be accessible 24/7, or any place that we can get into in a short period of time!
