Tough Top Awnings ROCK!!!

I contacted Tough Top Awnings via their website to get a couple of color samples so I can replace my slide topper. I got an email the next morning saying the samples were on their way. Had them in 2 days.

I received my new slide topper from Tough Top Awnings, first of all, easy to place an order and it shipped fast via UPS.

When I got my slide topper, it was the wrong color, it seems that the 15oz sand color is a different color than the 18 oz sand color, so slight mix up.

Before emailing them, I doubled checked my order to make sure I didn't screw it up. I did order the right color, so I put the sample piece on the new slide topper and took a picture and sent an email.

A couple hours later I got an email from Tyler at Tough Top, apologizing and saying that they will send the new topper out ASAP or give me a $75 credit.

I was stunned.

I emailed him back, requesting a UPS label to return the wrong topper and denied the $75 credit, I really like the quick response and their products made here in the USA.

They truly appreciate their customers.

I will be doing business with this company in the future. I highly recommend them.

One of the best companies I have worked with. Very speedy with the orders and great customer service.

Replaced my two slide toppers earlier this year. I got superb service and toppers from them. They came faster than I was expecting and with the easy to follow instructions I was able to instal them without any problems. Went on smooth as silk. Thanks for the great products and service.

Would never diss Tough Tops but there is another superb topper choice available. Stone Vos in Brooksville, FL, uses the best materials available.

The owner is a coach owner. He is currently working on a kit to allow owners to make their slide assemblies more resistant to water intrusion.

Question RV Awning replacement

I researched many RV forums and decided on ToughTop Awnings. The main awning was delivered but it took a few weeks before I installed it. When I did, I found the stitching was inconsistent and even a fingers width gap in stitching. When I contacted ToughTop, they were contentious. I like to do biz with small businesses, and have given them a chance to make it right. I'll post an update when I get a replacement fabric. Hopefully I can use them again in the spring when I install slide awnings.

Very happy with our slide topper, however I don't think they treat the fabric with any kind of mildew preventative. I have terrible mildew stains and it's a bear to clean up.

It's a piece of vinyl. I don't know what they could do to make it mildew-resistant. Any coating will be gone in a few weeks or month exposure to weather. Woven material will retain a mildewcide for a while, but waterproof sheeting doesn't.

Contact Stone Vos Inc in Florida which is a small family owned business and you won't receive inferior products or poor stitching PLUS you will be treated with respect like any customer should be treated. Always the very best and courteous customer service including a highly skilled technical service person that can solve most all of your problems and concerns with awnings and toppers. They own their own RV coach so they been there and done that.
