tow rating of old car

Hi,
just wanted to see if someone could give me some guild lines on determining the tow rating of a old car I'll be working on. I have a 1939 ford two door sedan with a chevy 350, 3 speed auto, 8" ford rear, mustang II front suspension, and leaf springs in the rear. would like to tow a trailer around 3000 to 3500lbs., plus people/gear for a total of 4500lbs. Thanks.

4500 lbs ??? you need a truck. don't put your family in danger. put the trailer on the hitch . that will tell you everything you need to know.
