This topic comes up so often that every forum should have a sticky on the topic and should require new members to sign a statement that they won't ask the question ever again.

Whatever suits your purse or personal preferences will work provided you don't fill the bowl with a big wad and shove it down with a stick and then drain the black tank immediately afterwards.

Obsessive?

If you ever had to deal with either a clog or the dreaded pyramid of poo you'd become a little obsessive too. Either one makes for a crappy day.

We use just about anything labeled septic safe and haven't had problems since we learned to pay attention to the label.

Or let Ron White use your bathroom. He might be trying to back into a whole new wardrobe.

But it makes for such entertaining reading.

What I find interesting is that your wife is taking the word of this very knowledgeable person over yours(Dunner likes to start fights, stand back and watch the fireworks).

I have tried many times over the years to get her to realize that she doesn't know poop from putty. Now she thinks she is an expert. Oh well, I think she is being reinformed as to this topic. She is beginning to realize that I was right after all. Thanks for your replies. I know this topic has been posted several times, but if you have a problem with a black tank, you will not soon forget it. A lot of RV service facilities will not deal with this type of problem, at any cost.

Tell her she can use RV TP, but she has to pay for it.

Another suggestion is to dump a couple of bags of crushed ice in to your toilet stool just befor you head down the road and that will break up any particles that may be logged in the bottom of your black water tank. I use single ply, double ply, and never have had a problem with clogged drains.

A Pro Says ---

I asked a septic system pro and he said that Costco's Kirkland brand is about the best . He sees very few problems caused by their brand.

Does the Costco brand fall apart during use or just in the holding tank?

I'd answer that, if I thought it was actually a serious question.

WalMart house brand Best Value 2-ply. We tried Angel Soft and didn't like it. Before that we used Scot's 1-ply.
