TPMS question

I currently have the EezeTire system and it has worked well so far, until I got the new MH and had to get tire stem extenders put on the rear tires to use them. I had a RV service center put the extensions on and one of the extensions failed. Now I can’t even take the extension off because it looks like the nut was rubbing on the rim and half the nut is worn away. When I try to unscrew the nut the whole tire stem turns with it. I will probably have to find a mobile tire tech come out to fix it ( does anyone know of a good one around Columbia SC?).

I have seen on here how some people get the sensors put on the inside of the tires like most cars seem to have now days, but they really haven’t said much besides they cost more. I guess the sensors come with a unit that you put on the dash like the other TPMS.

What brands have others on here used? I’m guessing I will have to take it to a tire shop that handles trucks. What kind of labor charge can I expect? I can still use my TPMS for my front tires ( I didn’t have to put on any extenders for them) and the Toad.

If your valve stem turns when you try to unscrew the TPMS sensor, wouldn't it be leaking? I don't see how it could keep a seal if it was loose enough to turn by hand. Or is just the extension turning? If so, then you could unscrew the extension and the sensor together, then it should be easy to separate the two.

I also use EezTire TPMS system. I haven't had any problems with it, but I don't have extenders on any of my tires. I do have rubber valve stems though.

For labor charges to fix your issue, it should be just a dismount and remount fee. Probably just a nominal fee since it's not really a lot of work.

It doesn’t hold air. My alarm went off around 20 miles from my camp ground. I had to put more air in it and then use duct tape to try to slow the leak. I had to stop again on the shoulder of the interstate to put more air in. Right not there is no air in it.
