I have to apologize. The subject is getting too political and NOT allowed unless it pertains to RVing, and then we have to tread lightly. I just read the rules on it. I am a Veteran and I'm serious about OUR country.
Thank you.

Nearly had a similar thing happen when we were camping in Navajo Dam, New Mexico last month, lots of yelling and threatening to shoot someone, people calling 911 etc. I think it started over someone walking thru someones camp (might be justified in that case). I was thinking I'd hate to be the camp host who would have to deal with this situation.

I can remember at least a couple felons and even escaped prisoners wanted for murder who were later found camping and hiding in parks here in AZ.

You must be alert and aware of your surroundings at all times, Sadly even camping. Criminals and drug users come from all walks of life so they like to hunt and fish and get their gas and shop at the same stores everyone else does.

But your odds of actually being a victim are considerably less when you're camping than in a city. So Have fun, be aware, and don't let these stories stop you from enjoying life.

IMO we have to start teaching critical thinking and personal responsibility again.

There are too many mental illnesses diagnosed by mental "specialists" that make misbehaving someone else's responsibility.

This took place Nov 8th it's a rather small no frills campground in Lake Ozark Mo. on the Osage River just downstream of Bagnell Dam which produces power for much of Mo and holds back the water on the well known Lake of the Ozarks lake.

Roughly 9 times the population in roughly the same area.

But I agree, my heart goes out to the friends and family of the deceased. It was such a stupid way to go.

I've come close to being killed on multiple occasions by bad drivers, never by a firearm. I drive defensibly and try to remain siturationaly alert.

It is a sad terrible thing, for 2 people to be killed and another wounded in his RV. I do not know what this world is coming to.

Folks, this is an RV forum and posts should relate to RVing. While gun threads are allowed when it directly relates to RVing, many posts in this thread have crossed over the line and have been deleted. This thread is closed.
