Well, in our little town there is a Super Wally World right off the freeway. There are two campgrounds in town but they are often full. Any way there are always three or four RV's parked in the Wal-Mart lot. Usually they are there just to sleep and get an early start. Cedar City is close to Zion and Bryce Canyon parks.
It seems that a MH from Florida was parked for the night and about 8:30 pm a person "resembling" a Wal-Mart security guard or posing as a security guard gained access into the MH. At that time he indicated that he wished to go to Florida. The intruder was told to leave and he would not go. A scuffle ensued and the intruder was shot and killed with the MH owner's shotgun. It is not clear at this time if the owner was injured. The local police are determining if the force used was justified.
The intruder has a police record. The paper did not state what the arrests were for.

A very interesting story for a lot of us. My thoughts are what may have happened to that guy and his family had he not had the shot gun on board. Also I think the gun would not have been beared if the situation did not call for it to be. For me.......... I'd rather be safe then sorry. I hope all the creeps out there see this story!!!

There is a long thread running on rv.net about this.
So long, that it is getting tiresome reading all the reasons it "could have happened" and ENDLESS speculation. Don't get sucked into this
SPECULATION and "Well maybe it was" statements.

Since we were not there we can't possibly know the reasons why it happened. Not to mention that each news report is slightly different from the next. Research into the police records of each of the people involved to find out more reasons why they had problems.
