I bought mine new in 2001. It's the 28th one made. It'a 37" one slide. It"s GVWR is 22000l lbs. On the scales fully loaded for travel it grosses out at 25600
lbs. I travel with full water tanks. Towing my 2oo1 PT Cruiser that weighs 3200 lbs. I get 10 mpg.. The 260 hp will take you any where you want to go . I love mine. Had to replace the radiater last year. Great coach . Cummins and Spartan Chassis and Alison says you can not increase the horse power.

Has anyone had a Banks system put on a Cummins Diesel 260 hp (24 valve ISB 5.9 Liter Turbo) and if so what would it cost as well as what would new hp be?

Would it make more sense to "chip" it or do a 5 Star Dyna-tune or the like?

I think you will find that your limiting factor will be your transmission. You need to determine the maximum torque allowed (is it an Allison 1000?) or you risk blowing it up as you crest the connector on your way to Merritt! I'm not sure how you plan to use this MH, but I would suggest you seriously examine the CCC......the CGWR in the context of how you would travel......the maximum hitch weight & GCVWR to determine your max. toad capacity.

I would also urge you to be very cautious with this powertrain. I am sure the 260hp/525t ISB is a fine and probably adequate engine for this rig, but most people do not live in Vernon, BC and need to climb-outta the Rockies to get anywhere. It will be a very slow (& hot) struggle to the top of the Connector, to the summit of the Rogers, to clear the Creston/Salmo with this set-up.

I hear you all. My sense is that it won't perform the way I would like it to. Thus my reservation in making an offer.

Thanks all for their input. Moving on.
